Going on a retreat is a success tool that as a leader wearing many hats, (mum, wife, business woman, teacher, friend, daughter, sibling, mentor, Igniter, encourager…), I have learnt to practice over the years. It enables you to ‘withdraw in order to refresh, restore and advance’. ———————MEGA BENEFITS.
The main aim of retreating is to stop, listen, reflect, pray, so that we can see with fresh eyes, think with renewed minds, and embrace sometimes the very same set of challenges and circumstances, the same set of responsibilities and relationships – we had before we retreated- but we do so ‘having changed on the inside’.
The greatest benefit of retreat is that it gives us fresh ways of seeing; opens new possibilities, removes the familiarity breeds contempt tendency that we all harbour when over exposed to the same situations. Retreating helps us get a “God view” of our “giants”. ———————
BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE-I love the way the bible renders this advice: “You will be restored by returning and resting. Your strength will increase in quietness and confidence.” Isaiah 30:15
Psalm 116:7-8 The Message edition- “I said to myself, “Relax and rest. God has showered you with blessings. Soul, you’ve been rescued from death; Eye, you’ve been rescued from tears; And you, Foot, were kept from stumbling.” —————–DON’T GET EXHAUSTED BEFORE RETREATING.
Do you sometimes get ‘tired and battle weary’? Do you feel overwhelmed by the many near misses or multi dimensional angles to your life? Does life get too complex? Too ordinary? Lacking a sense of excitement, purpose or passion? You simply need to withdraw to solitude every now and again. We all need the healing of a different space- to be, to rest and be restored. Retreat helps us reorder our priorities, gain a new sense of direction, and get a resolution and road map for the right kind of action. #radiantlifestyle #myrarelife #rarebyudo #radiancelifestyle #sucessprincipleswithudo #faithtogomega #nononsensegoals2018 #livefully #lifebydesign #unleashyourdreamlife
