So I awake with a new energy to my steps today.
I awake with zeal, knowing that I have been passed a baton and I’m determined to continue my own race. To finish with a flourish.
To ensure that I make every bit of potential locked inside of me cry out for joy.
You see, I learned that potential does not appreciate being locked up and until it’s used.
I am determined to squeeze my potential until it cries out for mercy.
Committed to living life fully.
To writing my books.
To singing every song and poem locked up within me. Ah wait and see!
I am committed because I know whose I am, what I’m here for and why I am here.
I represent a kingdom that cannot be hidden.
I learned these truths from two wonderful men in my life – Dr. Tony RAPU and Dr. Myles Munroe.
And today, as I awake, one of them, Dr. Myles is gone home. Gone to hangout with our Father and King.
Ah Dr. Myles – your last words to me earlier this year were; “Daughter, I’m proud of you!”
Those words remain with me along with that toothy smile of yours. That proud look you gave me after I spoke.
I know for sure you’ve run your race.
You died empty to my knowledge, but God ultimately makes that call.
I have no doubt you are looking on now – expecting everyone who you have touched so deeply to arise and take on the mantle of citizenship and move forward with purpose, power and possibilities.
Dr. Myles – I’ve taken on my baton and I thank you because you already started cheering me on, and even more so now with other clouds of witnesses in the heavenlies.
Yes, I shall finish my race using the tools you left. And oh boy, did you leave a lot? Surely you died empty that we should live fully with the pool of resources you left behind.
I, Udo shall live fully. I shall die empty!
That’s my promise to you this day of our Lord NOV 11/14.
And so shall it be, for it cannot be otherwise. Amen.
A series of letters/journal entries to my mentor, spiritual guide and role model, Dr. Myles Munroe who passed to glory on Nov 9/14.
P.S. May his soul and those of his wife and other passengers rest gently.
May our country Nigeria know peace in my time because we who know the truth of the word choose to live fully, to confront the evil on our land, to speak up, and to die empty.
